Indianapolis, Ind.-based Marian, Inc., recently opened another facility in China. Located in the Chaohuilou Technology Industrial Park in Dalang, Longhua, Shenzhen in the Guangdong province, the engineering and manufacturing facility features a 2,700 square meter building. Marian Shenzhen brings high-tech jobs and university-trained engineers to the area in laser die cutting, and high-volume consumer electronics. Currently, the location employs about 50 people, with plans to more than double that number by the end of the year.
The facility offers Marian’s core capabilities; including rotary die cutting, flatbed die cutting, rapid prototyping, slitting, laminating, laser cutting of thin materials, hand assembly and finishing. Common materials include: pressure-sensitive adhesives and tapes, sponge and foam, thermal management materials, shielding materials, plastic films, rubber, TPR (thermoplastic rubber), plastic sheets, and filter fabrics.
