The Mentor Graphics® FloEFD™ product is a full-feature 3D fluid-flow analysis package that enables engineers to turn computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis into a plug in for CAD systems. This allows users to create virtual models of their designs, perform thermal analysis, and test design modifications quickly and easily before any money is spent on physical test models.
Mentor’s FloEFD CAD-embedded CFD product for Creo provides a wide range of physical simulation capabilities for fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, including a special module for electronics cooling applications with extensive property libraries. FloEFD works directly with native Creo geometry to keep pace with continuous design iterations and can reduce simulation time by as much as 65 to 75 percent in comparison to traditional CFD tools.
