Cooling component developer Noctua has released new models to complement its recently announced A-series of quiet fans. The new NF-A14 FLX, NF-A14 ULN and NF-A15 PWM fans are designed for noise-sensitive 140mm applications.
According to CEO Roland Mossig, Noctua’s NF-P14 has been “a default-choice among PC enthusiasts looking for … premium quality” and the company is “excited” to offer improved airflow to noise ratio with the new NF-A14 and NF-A15 models. The fans utilize flow acceleration channels to increase speed at crucial outer blade regions and reduce suction side flow separation, resulting in better efficiency and lower vortex noise.
The NF-A14 models feature a square frame with 140mm mounting holes and are ideal for use in water-cooling radiators or as an upgrade for 140mm case fans, according to the company. The NF-A15 model features a round frame with 120mm mounting holes and, according to the company, is ideal for use in high-end CPU coolers. All models have a MTBF rating of more than 150,000 hours and come with a six-year manufacturer’s warranty.
