Data center developer Minkels has released its Next Generation Cold Corridor, “a modular and highly flexible aisle containment solution that separates hot and cold airflows in an energy-efficient manner.” The new data center cooling solution was presented London’s Data Centre World 2013 conference in late-February.
According to Jeroen Hol, chief executive officer at Minkels, the Next Generation Cold Corridor can be easily adapted for specific building environments. “Also, the phased implementation of row-based cooling is an easy job thanks to the scalable components in the Next Generation Cold Corridor. Modularity in its structural detail makes the solution readily installable in a cost-effective manner.”
The newest version of Minkels’ cold corridor also offers an increase in energy efficiency and enables the “plug and play installation of monitoring sensors.” New roof panels designed to “achieve a high level of light transmission” are also incorporated into the design.
