Software designer Cradle Co., Ltd. has announced the release of version 11 of its SC/Tetra, scSTREAM/Heat Designer, and EOopti thermal modeling programs.
SC/Tetra is the unstructured grid Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for simulations in various industries including automotive, turbo-machinery, and other product designs. Version 11 offers a new “Modify Solid” tool, which enables solid shape modifications of CAD data as a standard function of SC/Tetra pre-processor, and a new liquid film model, as well as other new functions and improvements.
scSTREAM is the structured grid Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for simulations in various industries including architecture, civil engineering, and product designs. Heat Designer is an edition of scSTREAM specializing in thermal design of electronics. Version 11 offers a number of new features, including a new ElectronicPartsMaker utility tool, a cut-cell solver for flow analysis; and the “Moving Arrows” function, which helps users understand three-dimensional flow patterns at a glance.
EOopti is the optimization engine with MOGA (Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm). As an extension option of SC/Tetra, scSTREAM, or Heat Designer, EOopti helps you find the best solution to your design problem. In Version 11, accuracy of response surface is improved greatly with the introduction of EGO (Efficient Global Optimization). EGO achieves the better accuracy by adding sampling points where EI (Expected Improvement) or RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) indicator becomes the maximum. Additional new functions and improvements are also available.
