On February 26 at the Photonics West Conference in San Francisco Rogers Corporation’s Power Electronics Solutions (PES) will be presenting a report on ACT’s vapor-deposited Applied Nanoscale Corrosion Resistant (ANCER™) coatings in partnership with Advanced Cooling Technologies.
According to the company, the thin, conformal ANCER coatings “help extend the operating life of micro-channel copper coolers for cooling laser diodes” by protecting them “from erosion and corrosion for curamik active liquid coolers.”
Curamik coolers are part of Rogers PES’ latest thermal management solutions, also including liquid and passive cooling products the company plans on sharing insight about at their Photonics West Booth.
All of Rogers PES coolers “incorporate high-quality copper for excellent thermal conductivity and effective thermal management,” says the company, as will be talked about during the report presentation.
This technical presentation will be in the Demo Area 2 (Hall D North) from 11:30 to 12:30 and “will offer details on testing performed on the ANCER coatings and how they provide effective protection for Rogers curamik and other thermal management products and materials,” reports Rogers PES.
“Photonics West is the world’s largest event for lasers, photonics, and biomedical optics products and technologies, with two exhibitions and a comprehensive technical conference,” expecting 50,000 attendees and over 4000 technical papers, according to Rogers PES.
Rogers PES also offers a Design Support Hub to design engineers that includes technical papers, videos, and PES University training programs.
