(June 27, 2016) In a recent interview with Faraday Future’s head of global design, Richard Kim explained their new FFZERO1 Concept car’s efficient cooling platform.
“With the FFZERO1 we looked to push the limit in regard to materials and three-dimensional sculpture,” said Kim, “And because our power-train platform allows for such flexibility, we incorporated two air tunnels that extend the length of the car and allow for unobstructed airflow for enhanced cooling of the batteries and increased aerodynamics.”
He continued to explain how the design element was only possible with their battery platform, and how easily it adapts to different car sizes. “Modular platforms have been talked about but this is the first time I’ve actually seen it done in such an efficient and honest way,” according to Kim.
The all-electric power train design was decided on to help clean up the environment as well as create a comfortable riding experience, reported RobbReport.com.
