Fluoropolymer technology and manufacturing company W.L. Gore & Associates has announced that it will debut its latest venting products and cooling filters for use by the telecommunications industry at the CTIA 2013 Mobile Marketplace in Las Vegas, Nev. later this month. According to the company, ideal applications for the new products range from use in mobile phones and small portable devices to outdoor wireless routers, tower-mounted antennas, base station cabinets and other telecommunication infrastructure.
New Gore products to be featured at the event include two new venting series—the VE7R and VE9R—with a more durable adhesive that adheres well to rough and uneven surfaces, even after exposure to harsh environmental conditions. Gore will also unveil the GORE Portable Electronic Vent PE3 Series for better airflow in portable electronics, and GORE Cooling Filters, designed to reduce system costs for outdoor cabinet cooling systems by taking advantage of ambient air cooling technology.
“With the telecommunications industry continuing to evolve so rapidly, reliability and durability are increasingly critical,” Jason Zambotti, Gore’s telecommunications project manager, said. “We are excited to showcase the latest additions to our product family [at CITA], all of which are uniquely engineered to help manufacturers and operators improve system reliability and ultimately increase customer satisfaction.”
