Morgan Advanced Materials, a manufacturer of advanced ceramic components, assemblies and related products, has launched Heat Flow, an online steady-state heat transfer calculator.
Compatible with most computer operating systems and web browsers, the Heat Flow application comes pre-loaded with almost 400 products offered by Morgan Advanced Materials; other materials can be added into a user-defined database for calculations. The application currently utilizes the 2010 revision of the ASTM C680 formulas for calculations, with future updates planned as needed.
Users are able to view or edit completed calculations and save favorites as desired, and calculations can also be downloaded in PDF format. Mobile versions of the Heat Flow application for smartphones and tablets are reportedly in development.
