AMETEK Rotron, a manufacturer of brushless DC motors, blowers and pumps for aerospace, military, medical, mass-transit and computer applications, has introduced new compact inverted blowers designed to deliver concentrated, high-volume airflow for critical cooling applications in tight enclosures.
According to the company, the Trimline blowers are effective in cooling fins on external heat sinks and are ideal for critical cooling applications in ruggedized computers, avionics and communications. The blowers can also be used as retrofit crew member comfort blowers in military vehicles where air conditioning is not practical, due to their low noise signatures.
Featuring a unique form factor measuring only 12.06 x 12.06 x 4.06 (4.75 x 4.75 x 1.60 in), the blowers fit easily into slim chassis enclosures. Half-Trimline blowers measuring 9.9 x 12.06 x 4.06 cm (3.9 x 4.75 x 1.60 in) are also available for smaller enclosures. Speeds range from 2,700 to 6,300 RPM; airflows range from 21 to 45 CFM.
