PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA, April 9, 2010 – ITEM Publications, the publisher of electronics engineering journals, today announced the return of ElectronicsCooling magazine.
The magazine was originally launched in 1996 by Flomerics as an aid to mechanical and electronics engineers in the area of thermal management. Flomerics, inlcuding ElectronicsCooling magazine, was acquired in 2008 by Mentor Graphics. During the worst of the economic recession in 2008 and 2009, and with the loss of advertising support, the print magazine was forced to close. However, in a license agreement with Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: Ment), ElectronicsCooling now returns under the new management of ITEM Publications.
“In our initial conversations with the thermal management community, there has been a great response about the return of the magazine,” said ITEM Publisher Paul Salotto, today. “Not only are we bringing back the printed edtion, but in conjunction with Mentor Graphics, we have also re-launched the website for this community, and are now working on an e-newsletter, and other media to launch soon.”
ElectronicsCooling magazine has 16,000 subscribers across North America, Europe and Asia, and will be published four times a year: April, June, September and December. The title also provides a variety of sales and marketing services for suppliers of heat sinks, thermal software, fans, thermal interface materials, thermo-electric coolers and more.
ElectronicsCooling features practical content including:

With increasing advances in industries such as mobile devices, medical electronics and, of course, the computer industry, the thermal management marketplace is now expected to play an even larger role in electronics design.
