Flir Systems Inc. recently entered into a $180 million deal to acquire marine electronics company Raymarine Holdings Ltd. Raymarine is considered a world leader in marine electronics, providing electronic equipment for recreational boating and light-commercial marine markets. Based in Portsmouth, England, it reported $170 million in revenue last year. Flir, a Portland-based maker of thermal imaging and infrared camera systems, said the company plans to expand the scope of Raymarine’s product line by integrating thermal imaging cameras with Raymarine’s display, radar and autopilot product lines.
